This programme is designed to facilitate a cultural exchange, allowing participants from the Arab world to gain insights from Bristol’s rich cultural landscape. Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to lead their organisations effectively. The programme offers a unique opportunity to learn from Bristol's best practices and successful cultural initiatives, collaborate with international peers, and tap into a network of expertise. The programme will further enhance participants' leadership capabilities and contribute to a thriving cultural scene, driving economic growth and enriching communities across regions.

The training program will encompass a series of modules covering various aspects of effective leadership in arts and cultural organisations, with a focus on knowledge sharing and case study presentations from both the UK and the Arab world

Meet the Team

Marc Leverton

Facilitator

Marc is a Senior Lecturer at Bath Spa University, and course leader for UG Business and Management. His teaching specialisms include arts management, enterprise and entrepreneurship, freelancing and employability. Marc’s other experience includes working as a trustee and a consultant for arts organisations, a freelance journalist for The Guardian and Creative England. He was Publisher and Managing Director for The Big Issue magazine. He is also the author of several books on business and culture.

Hiba Elhindi

Programme Co-ordinator

 Hiba a Sudanese-British Cultural Producer, based in the South West of England. Founder and artistic director of Sudafest CIC, Hiba is passionate about using arts to empower young generations, bring communities together and tell unheard stories. Hiba curated a number of arts projects involving members of the Sudanese community in Bristol, including Sudanese Folklore-Inspired Arts (SuFIA): a combined art project for the Sudanese community in Bristol , Games without Borders: a video archive of British drama games explained in Arabic. Besides her work in the community, Hiba works as part of the Arts Development Team at Bristol City Council. Hiba holds a master's degree in Arts Management from Bath Spa University.

Participation Fees

$3600 per person

Fees Include

  • Transport to and from Heathrow or Bristol airport 

  • 3 days of intensive training (including all training materials)

  • 4 night accommodation in a 5-star hotel

  • 2 meals daily (breakfast & lunch)

  • Visit to SS Great Britain, Mshed, Watershed, Bristol Old Vic, Arnolfini and a Banksy Tour

* Please note that visa fees and flight are not included in the price. 

Travel & Visa Arrangements

Participants are responsible for securing their own UK visas and arranging travel to the UK. Upon request, BLOSSOMARTS will provide an invitation letter to assist with visa applications. Citizens of GCC countries are eligible to apply for a UK visa waiver; please consult your travel agent or the UK embassy in your country for further details.
